Kate Gosselin ordered to pay Pa. counselor $10,000
Kate Gosselin, the television personality famous for birthing eight children, has been ordered to pay about $10,000 to a Pennsylvania marriage therapist, the Associated Press reports.
Sylvia Lafair said she traveled to Los Angeles in March 2009 to counsel Gosselin and her then-husband, Jon Gosselin. The couple finalized their nasty divorce in late 2009. Lafair, who heads the company Creative Energy Options in White Haven, Pa., sued Gosselin after she didn’t receive payment for her services or travel expenses. The “Kate Plus 8” star testified she never had a contract with the Lafair’s company, but Magisterial District Judge Gerald Feissner ruled otherwise May 13.
A lawyer for the average mom turned tabloid subject turned “Dancing With the Stars”contestant said an appeal was filed Tuesday.
